He has been such a trooper, my sweet Henry. You would think that he would have loved the Montessori method but in the end, I think he would have preferred a more typical preschool with lots of gross motor time. Maracas is very focused on learning new material and he typically would only play outside for about 15-20 minutes a day. The I would ask him what he did during school he would say, "I sat on the line all day" (learning new material). Obviously, that was not true but that is what he remembered.
He has done a tremendous job at Maracas and his Spanish is very proficient. He knows his letters well and has a great foundation in math. This year, he was a leader in the classroom he helped teach the younger children in material that he has mastered. We are so proud of you Henry. We know that you are ready for kindergarten!
Ok, so maybe I should have bought him a few new school t-shirts. I think this one is a 4T that was Samantha's and was a little small at the end.
We will miss Señora Vicky. She is an amazing teacher and Henry just loved being in her classroom.
So proud of his heard work this year.
This year Henry was very motivated to participate in the end of year festival. I kept trying to get some details out of him about the festival and he would tell me, "It is a secret mom, but you are going too love it!" He was right.
Henry did a great job with a short memorized verse about what animals do during the winter.
He LOVED this song, he thought wearing the goggles was so funny. I hate that I missed someone shooting a squirt gun at the audience!
