Henry's antics

Henry is such a crack up.  You just don't know what he is going to say or do next.

We have really been struggling at nap time over the past month or so.  He is not usually tired enough to sleep and he usually winds up reading or playing quietly in his room.  He knows that if he doesn't sleep that he will need to go to be earlier and he is not a fan of the earlier bed time either.  The other day he told me that he "just slept sitting up" and that his body had had enough rest so he could stay up late.

His is actually napping in this picture but if you look closely he has both legs in one pant leg.  When I asked him why he slept that way he said he didn't want to mess up his neat bed (I had made it for him that am) but that his legs were cold.  Made perfect sense to him.  A 4T leg swaddle!

The kid is super creative and loves to put together complicated set ups and forts that involve either fighting off an enemy or defending against an enemy.  The cradle that he is using in the video is mine from when I was a child.  My dad was sweet and cleaned it up for Christmas one year and gave it to the kids.  They play with it ALL the time but never as a cradle.  Henry loves to pretend it is a cannon or some other type of firearm.  Samantha turns it upside down and likes to us it as a jail for dolls or stuffed animals.  What ever works!
