Claire at 7 months

Oh, this little girl is just as sweet as can be.  It is hard to imagine what our life was like without her and it has only been 7 short months.

Our Claire Bear has developed quite an appetite and is putting away some solid foods!  She does pretty well with most pureed veggies and loves the fruits.  After a slow start she has really gotten good at eating puffs and teething wafers.  She is starting to get really good at picking up food off of her tray and self feeding.  AND, she has one, little, tiny tooth coming in on the bottom right.  Yay for teeth!  We are definitely done with nursing, I cannot keep up with her needs and it was just too frustrating for both of us.  I am grateful that we made it as long as we did and I am actually really enjoying the freedom.

This may be one of my top 5 videos that we have of the kids.  I love the look of concentration on her face to eat that ittty, bitty puff and then the look of achievement when it is down!


She is quite the messy eater!

This girl is a sitting champ and will be crawling any day now.  She can get up on all fours and she is now just trying to get her booty moving forward.  She is pretty content sitting with a box of toys for 15-20 minutes as long as the big kids are nearby.

Sweet girl loves to be with her big sibs.  

And they love to be with her.

Henry takes it as a personal challenge to try to get her going with giggles every day.  He is really pretty good at it!

We are still on the same sleep schedule as last month and overall it is a nice schedule for all of us.  Claire usually naps at about 9:00am or so for about 1-1.5 hours.  She is ready to sleep in the afternoon at about 2:00 and will sleep until about 4:00.  She LOVES being in her sleep sack with a soft blanket on her chest.  She will knead at the blankets with her hands like a little kitten, it is so sweet.  She is still sleeping between 2 rolled blankets.  We tried to take them out of her crib recently and she was not having it.  She loves to turn her head side to side and snuggle between them.  She is happiest when she is down for the night at 7:01pm.  We are still doing the 10:30 dream feed and she will reliably drink 4-6 ounces.  She consistently sleeps until 5:00am or so but we have had a few early am wake ups in the past week, possibly due to her new tooth.  We are always amazed at how happy she is at dream feed time and how easily she will go back to sleep at that time even though it seems like she is wide awake.  

  

I am not sure what we are going to do about the 7:00 bedtime in the summer when Samantha and Henry are both full steam ahead outside.  We will cross that bridge when we come to it...

The girl just loves to be outside and we are taking advantage of the longer days.  Samantha and Henry are scooter riding demons and love to go on a walk at night before or after dinner.  We recently swapped our double jogger out for a single and Claire is loving the new jogger because she can see so much better.

She is such a sweet baby, it has been so fun to have her along for the ride!
