This was Payson's second year of teaching Clase de Musica at Maracas with Señora Claudia. It is a 2 year program, so sadly, the group will be parting ways this year and another class will form. Both kids worked very hard this year and we are proud of both of them. Samantha needed MUCH less coercion to practice and really seemed to enjoy the challenge of learning new pieces. Henry practiced (grudgingly) and has a good foundation of reading music. His request is to take drum lessons. I don't think that any of us are ready for that yet!

Payson enjoyed introducing the kids to dances from different cultures. They learned the waltz, the Irish jig and also how to do the Twist!
