At the end of April, we took a quick, impromptu, camping trip to Falls Lake with our neighbors The Meehans. This was our first trip with Claire in a tent so it definitely was a test run. She did have a hard time falling asleep but she did great otherwise. We all enjoyed fishing and exploring the woods and eating outside. The lake was really high from a recent rainstorm so we were literally fishing from the parking lot curb. Poor Samantha's feet got eaten up by fire ants! She was super brave and kept on trucking. We also found a black widow spider at the top of our tent (not inside) as we were taking it down. A short but memorable adventure for sure!
