Celebrating Grandma Mona in Buffalo

Mid February we said goodbye to a great lady, my Grandma Mona.  She was 89 and she died at home surrounded by her 4 children.  We will miss visiting her when we go to Buffalo.  I am grateful that my big kids will have good memories of her.

We decided to drive 11 hours to Buffalo with the kids to attend the funeral.  Mom flew with Claire on the way up and with Henry on the way back.  The kids were amazing in the car and we were able to stop only twice both times for about 10 minutes each time.

They LOVE visiting our family in Buffalo.  What's not to love about staying at the Handley Hotel and visiting their cousins: Penny, Evelyn and Ruthie.

It was a wonderful celebration of Gram's life with lots of family and good food, two things that she loved.  We will miss you Gram but you will always have a special place in our hearts.

Henry was able to spend some extra time on the farm with Aunt Barbara the day that we left.  He was in heaven helping her with the animals.

Henry and Penny are such sweet buddies

Quite possibly the most disorganized but fun game of Duck, Duck, Goose! ever!

This girl may just be on American Ninja Warriors some day!
