New slide

Pays has been hard at work in our backyard for the past few months. He recently built a retention wall and has shoveled more than 16 yards of fill in front of the wall to create extra play space for the kids and garden space for him. There were 2 left over trees that were perfect to connect a slide to. Pays and my dad figured out how to rig an ordinary playground slide to the trees and make a not so ordinary ladder. They used left over wood to create the rungs and the kids have to climb a tree stump to even get to the ladder. Then there is a handle out of rope. Frought with danger, right? The slide is actually connected at a rather steep angle so it is FAST! The kids obviously love it and have been out on it playing in the dark. A fun addition to our more natural playground. Thanks Poppy!
