Well it has been an interesting past two weeks but I think we have turned a corner. Henry joined Samantha in school at Maracas Montessori which is a bilingual immersion preschool. The actual school relocated over the summer and it is actually closer to our house which is such a blessing.
Both kids had a tough time being dropped off for the first two weeks. Samantha shed some tears but recomposed herself once she was in her classroom. She has the same teacher as last year and she just loooves Senora Claudia. She has really bonded with one of her classmates whose dad Payson enjoys biking with. The girls love to swim together and and seem to be a great match in regards to their personalities.
Henry definitely has had a tougher time. We have worked up to him staying the whole day (8:45-12:30) and there were days that he cried for several hours. Poor guy! But...this morning he walked right in and his teacher said that he had a fantastic day. Yay for my Henry! Needless to say, he was very proud of himself after 'cool and told Samantha and I many times how valiente he was. We are hoping that he will bond with some of his classmates as well so that he will look forward to friend time at school as well. His teacher is also an angel and we are looking forward to working with Senora Jesse as well.
