Last week we hooked up with some of our residency friends in Newport, Rhode Island. Newport is a super cute beach town on Easton Bay. Our residency friends J.A. and Joline live there with their sweet 8 week old son Cyrus. We rented a house with the Flanashaws and Holts which was walking distance from the Macfarlans. Baby Caelum Flanashaw is now 9 months and sweet Eleanor Holt is almost 3 years old so you can imagine that our kids were in heaven with babies to cuddle and a new buddy to pal around with. The closest beach to where we were staying had a gentle grade which was perfect for the kids. We went to the beach once or twice a day and the kids never seemed to get tired of running into and out of the waves. Playing in their undies was a totally new novelty. Add in a nearby aquarium, carousel, awesome Farmer's Market and seafood every night...it was a stellar vacation. We are already looking forward to getting together again next summer in lake Tahoe! We are going to try and talk J.A. into bring some lobstahs for us...
