Fun visit to Duke Gardens

Duke Gardens is one of my favorite local spots to have a family day. Even in the July heat and humidity. We were getting ready to go that day and Samantha declared that it was "stripe day" and that I had to wear a maxi dress that went down to my ankles. Toasty! It was fun nonetheless to be dressed "same-same."

We brought along a clicker that we has used to help with the dogs' barking and periodically clicked as we walked. We told the kids that we were in a fairy garden and that it was the sound of Tinkerbell's wings. A white lie but worth it. They were tearing up and down the paths looking for her. Looking forward to going back when it is a wee bit cooler.
