This past weekend we went to Buffalo to visit our family there and meet our new niece Penelope Rose. Penny is 4 months old now and is soooo precious. She never cried (OK, once, but it was probably Payson's fault) and it was so fun to hear her giggle and coo. She loved to watch our kids run around and play. Unfortunately our kids were sick with runny noses so they couldn't love on her as much as they would have liked but they are still constantly asking about her and ask when they can see her again.
We stayed with my Aunt Barb and Uncle Warren at their farm in Marilla. We have always affectionately referred to their property as the Handley Hotel and it of course didn't disappoint. This kids had access to a goat, 6 chickens and 3 horses just by running out the front door. Pure delight. They loved feeding Bandit and collecting the eggs for Aunt Barb. Of the six eggs that were laid every day 4-5 would make it back to the house unscathed. The eggie in Henry's hands was usually not the lucky one!
The weather was incredible! High 60s, NO HUMIDITY and NO MOSQUITOES! Such a nice break for us! The leaves were beginning to change and you could feel the crispness of imminent fall. Pays thought it was so similar to Ventura, CA weather and was loving wearing long sleeved t-shirts again.
Thanks to everyone for a great trip, the kids are already asking when we can go back!
