Well we made it! May was a busy month and we are so glad that we are through it. We have been settling into NC life now for the past 2 weeks and it is finally starting to feel like home instead of a prolonged vacation.
Here are some highlights of the move...
*The day before the movers came Gillian & Dean hosted a beautiful brunch for us at Dean's house and gave us a chance to say goodbye to our close friends in Ventura. Thanks guys!
*On Sunday May 22nd the movers came and went in 2 hours!
*Payson had no idea that all along his greatest ally in staying in Ventura was our cat Pogo. Pogo realized that something was up when all of the furniture left and he took up station underneath our back porch and decided he was staying. Pays and Dad sprayed water at him, poked him with the end of the orange picker and finally had to take boards off of the deck to get him out. Poor guy!
*Samantha did great on our travel day to NC other than 2 poorly timed poops; one while the plane was landing and another during dinner. We will spare the details but there was alot of laundry to be done at the end of the day.
*Pays and Popsy had a great road trip! Every time we checked in they were having a great time doing crossword puzzles, planning their next trail run and laughing about the pets antics. Bruno also had a poorly timed poop right on Popsy's atlas!
Currently, we are busy looking at different job opportunities and for a house to rent. We are also having alot of fun exploring new parks, playing at the pool and reconnecting with family. This will be a special summer in the lives of our family indeed.
