Samantha 18 months and Henry 4 months

Our sweet toddler is turning into such a big girl. She is saying new words everyday now and it is music to our ears. Some of her new words include "ball," "June-June" for Juno my parents' dog, "eggs," "si" and "eyes." She says "there it is" all the time in a sweet sing-songy voice.

Her Gammy recently gave her a red toy car that she can ride in as we push her. It has a few buttons that turn on a radio and blinkers and she LOVES it. She open, shuts, open, shuts the door over and over and we have done about a hundred laps up and down our parents' driveways over the past week. We learned yesterday that she can take off on her own if she gets in the car on a hill while we are momentarily distracted. Poor thing headed down my parents driveway and crashed her car right into the back of our CRV. Not such a fun way to end the night but she was fine.

She is having alot of fun in the pool and is loving jumping off the side into our arms. We learned that she needs to have floaties on at all times when she fell forward off the step and I had to pluck her out of the water. Luckily she was fine. Another learning lesson for mom...

By far her favorite food these days are the yummy smoothies that Nonni makes her almost every afternoon. What a lucky girl! She is also loving popsicles these days and cried so pathetically when the last piece fell off the stick and she couldn't get it back on. Such a tough lesson!

Her behavior had been good since we have moved but she has definitely been more temperamental. We have noticed that her behavior is much better when she gets one on one time with us during the early part of the day. It has been great to reconnect with our family but she has seemed overwhelmed at times. Her shyness is almost completely gone and she is doing a great job greeting new friends with a wave and a smile.

Our sweet Henry is such a champ. He is so awake now and is really enjoying playtime. He loves the exersaucer and works so hard moving toys from one place to another and jumping as he spins. The look of concentration on his face is just so precious.

He rolls from side to side and is so proud when he can grab his toes. He can scoot around when he is on his tummy and we are frequently surprised to find him in different places than we left him.

His sleeping is finally moving in the right direction! Most nights he goes to be at 9:00pm, he HATES to stay up later no mater what time his last nap ended. He usually sleeps until about 5:00-5:30am, feeds, then goes back to sleep until 8:00am. He naps 4 times during the day for 1-1 1/2 hours and is doing a great job going back to sleep if he wakes up after 45 minutes. He seems to really love sleeping in the walk in closets and we are all happy to be getting regular, uninterrupted sleep. Ahhh...

His feeding schedule is also going better. He usually is ready to feed about 45 minutes after he wakes up and does another small feed right before going down for his nap. Bottle feeding is finally going better but he definitely prefers to be facing out, walking around while you feed him.

He is a big guy! Before we left he did his 4 month well child check and he already weighs 16 pounds 4 ounces. He is 75%ile for weight, length and head circumference. He mostly fits into 6 month clothes and regularly has poop-plosions that his diaper just cannot contain.

He has such a sweet disposition and gives great gooey, gummy smiles. He is also super ticklish and is isn't hard to get him laughing.

They are both such a joy to have in our lives!
