This Easter we ventured up to Palo Alto for one last visit with the Jarretts before our move to NC on May 24th. They have very much been our surrogate CA family and we will miss them dearly when we move. We are looking forward to their visits in NC so that we can spoil them as they have spoiled us over the past 5 years.
The car rides to and from Palo Alto were interesting to say the least and taught us what to expect on the trip to NC and how to prepare. On the way back Henry had TWO blow out poops and Samantha had a very impressive dirty diaper as well. An hour away from home we were totally out of baby wipes!
Samantha did great meeting lots of new people and she is working through her shyness, especially with men. She LOVED Uncle Jim! She had a great time exploring the Hamilton house and we made daily visits to a local playground with some of the best gym equipment we have ever seen. She also hunted for Easter eggs and probably eat her weight in raisins (Momma wasn't ready to give her that many jelly beans).
Henry also did well even though we were still feeling challenged by his eating and sleeping routine. He started to roll while we were there and he can now work himself all the way off the playmat! Nice work bud!
Popsy came fort Easter as well! It was great to see him and it was his first time meeting Henry. We missed Gammy though...
The guys went to a Giants baseball game on Friday night and Pays got a neat Panda bear hat "for the kids" that he had a great time wearing as well. Poor Pops was up almost 23 hours by the end of the game!
It was a great last CA holiday, we will miss you Jarretts!
YAY!! FUN to hear about (and SEE!!) your Palo Alto activities! Love Samantha hunting eggs...SO smart to use raisins inside- brilliant treat! My fave of Henry is the "why is no one pushing me?" picture- HA! His expression is hilarious! Man, that scene with lots of diaper mess and no wipes left...that one is all too familiar. SO sorry! yuckers!
