Halloween 2016

It was another fun Halloween this year, I am tempted to say our best yet but I think it just keeps getting better every year.  The kids and I both love this holiday and we always have fun decorating and getting costumes.  This year Henry and I made his zombie costume (after MUCH deliberation on what is an appropriate scary costume for a child).  It was very fun to work on it together and he was very pleased with the results. Samantha wanted to be a witch again and was super happy to wear her costume from last year (amazing!).  Claire was ecstatic to parade around as Princess Elena.  They were some happy campers.

We also made some fun Halloween food: worms in dirt, witches fingers, clementine pumpkins, spider sandwiches.  It is SO nice that they are able to significantly help with these projects now.

Our amazing neighbors hosted another fun pre-Halloween party for kids and adults. It gave the kids a chance to wear their costumes twice which they were thrilled about.

They all did great trick or treating.  It was funny having the holiday on a Monday pre-time change but we had a fun afternoon post school and enjoyed some play time with he Moores prior to heading out. Claire was not feeling 100% and she happily hung in the jogger and the big kids brought her candy for her bucket after each house.  What's not to like about that?

Pre-school-think they were excited??

Happy to spend time with the Moores pre trick or treating

And they are off!

Next day spoils

So grateful to have great neighbors and that a fun Halloween party is just a walk around the block!
