We are very lucky to be able to take several fun vacations throughout the year. I have to say, we look forward to our CA vacation ALL year. Good friends, sun, waves, beaches, natural play spaces are all reasons that we keep coming back every January. This year we spent 10 days there and divided our time between Santa Barbara and Ventura. It was great to have dedicated visiting time with our Ventura 2010 residency grad friends and then with our Ventura "lifer" group. Ben and Claire B. joined us from San Diego for part of our Ventura time which just added to the fun energy of the trip.

The kids played in the ocean EVERY night at sunset. The water and air temps were both mid 50s....BRRRRR!!!
The zip line at Marina Park is always a highlight
A walk in our old neighborhood was the highlight of Claire's trip. She loved motoring down the sidewalk and checking out the cool landscaping of the different houses.
The best 4 child seesaw ever. Perfect for a game of kid "tsunami."
