It was a FUN birthday for Samantha this year! We were in Georgia with LOTS of family for her actual birthday this year so it was so great to celebrate together. Samantha requested a Star Wars party so we made another Death Star pinata and brought 15 pool noodle light sabers with us. The weather was amazing that day and we started off the day gazing at a full moon over Lake Oconee (which I could NOT capture in film!) which was so special. The kids had fun reading each other Star Wars trivia over breakfast and were ready for a battle with their light sabers soon after. We grilled burgers and hot dogs and enjoyed an amazing cake custom ordered by Dauby. Samantha was beaming pretty much the entire day.
The week after Thanksgiving we celebrated her birthday at school with her class and on the weekend with friends. We had a girls playdate at Williams Park which is Samantha (and Henry's!) favorite local playground. It was a chilly day that day but the girls never complained and really enjoyed their time together. Samantha was so happy at the end of the party, she was just glowing. Her friends gave her some really sweet gifts including a Frozen suitcase and several fun crafts. I enjoyed some sweet time with her post party while Henry and Claire were napping. We worked on crafts and snuggled and talked about how blessed she is to have so many great friends and such a great family. I was super proud of her.

Happy Birthday Samantha!
This is a sweet video of Samantha at school during her Spanish class. It is hard to make out the words but I love that you can see how happy she is in her class and her little skip at the end of the activity.
Singing at her friends birthday party. You have to love the sweetness of a group of 5 and 6 year olds!
