Wow, I feel like I blinked and another 3 months just went by. Claire is growing and changing everyday. One if the things I like best about this toddler phase is watching their personalities develop like crazy. Claire has plenty of personality these days.
She is a pretty happy toddler the majority of the time and she has learned to communicate well with to tell us what she wants. She is very good at signing Help, More, Eat and All Done. She gets frustrated when she is not allowed to do activities the big kids do and can throw a pretty mean tantrum. Last night she had one for 20 minutes because I wouldn't allow her to climb the ladder up to the top bunk. So pathetic to watch.
Her vocabulary is growing and it is so sweet to hear her voice. Her reliable words right now are Ma (more), Mine (Miii), Ma-Ma, Da-Da, Hi-ya, bye-bye, Night night, shoes (I am trying so hard to get this on video), silly (si-ye), bubbles (sounds like ba-baaahs) and agua (sounds like a-wa). She is trying to imitate more sounds after we say them and she babbles up a STORM when she is in her crib.
Claire is down to 1 nap a day and most days this works really well for all of us. It has given us more time to do activities in the am and it is so nice to have all 3 kids on the same schedule. She is usually really ready to sleep about 12:30-1:00 and will sleep for 2-3 hours, some days more. She will go down for the night about 7:30pm or so and sleeps reliably until about 6:30am. It is a great schedule. We reconstructed the crib tent that we used for the big kids because she face planted out of her crib a few weeks ago. Poor girl broke one of her bottom teeth! She seems to like to be in the crib tent and she loves to roll around in the crib with her blankies and lovies giggling and cooing.
Poor girl has had SO many molars come in but still only has 4 front teeth and 1 broken side tooth on the bottom. She looks pretty snaggle toothed right now but she is very cute. Her hair is growing like crazy and we can finally get it into a fountain. She loves to walk around with her chubby belly sticking out, she almost uses it to balance her body as she runs. She is learning her body parts and loves to pat her belly and her nose. She LOVES the songs "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider."
Little Miss has continued to be a picky eater. She loves cereal, all things dairy and most fruit but veggies are a struggle to get her to eat. She will gobble mac n' cheese, pizza and meatballs like her big brother and she frequently asked for milk like her big sister.
Claire loves her family and greets us all in the am with smiles and waves. Henry asked this morning, "Why is she so smiley all the time in the morning?" She loves to sit with us and read and will back her booty up and plant her self right in the middle. She may be small but she has a big presence in our lives. We love you sweet girl!
No surprise that Claire is quite the dare devil
This girl loves some bubbles!
