Samantha's first day of kindergarten was Thursday, August 27th. She went with 23 other children and they worked in small groups with each of the 5 K teachers and their assistants. After 4 days of small groups the teachers divided up the students into classrooms (aka the "Draft" per Payson). The next day we all went to Joyner to meet Samantha's teacher, Ms. Forbes, and see her classroom. Samantha was very excited to be part of Ms. Forbes class which is the owl classroom.
This is Samantha's kinder count down chain, she made it when Henry started preschool.

Sweet Samantha the morning of her first day at Joyner
We drove her to school the first day
Outside her classroom, they had a cute sign ready for a photo op
When the first full week of school started on the 31st his girl was ready to take the bus! It was her favorite part of going to school that week. We drop her off at Leesville Elementary at 7:30 and the bus takes her to Joyner. We pick her up there about 3:45. A LONG day for a 5 year old! She is always smiling when we get her.
Samantha is always very eager to share what she has learned at school
It has been fun to have Popsy nearby to share in the school enthusiasm
So, we have been doing a lot of meal prep at night getting breakfast and lunch prepped so the am goes smoothly. Dinner is also mostly done by the time she comes home so that we can enjoy so time with her. She is typically in bed by 7:30-7:45. She is tired! She is very happy to nap on the weekends still!
This girl is ready for a snack when she comes home. We have been having fun making some creative snacks.
Breakfast table ready for the am. Henry LOVES this part by the way. It is like Christmas for him, he loves to guess what we are having by the way the table is set.
