Why do we love Ventura so much? Even though it has been almost 4 years since we've lived there, it still feels like home when we are back. So many fun things to do, great people to see, amazing produce and, of course, the beach. It is such a special place to us and now to our children as well.
We had a blast spending time with our residency friends and our kids loved having built-in playmates. There were lots of fun activities but I think the kids loved being at the beach the most. We scored a great house in Pierpont that was 1 house away from the beach and the location was excellent. It was so fun to just run out to the beach for a few minutes and then head back. No packing required. We were also walking distance to Marina Park, aka the pirate ship park which was great fun as well.
Pays and some of the other dads hooked up with Rich and headed out to one of the Channel Islands one morning to surf. It was, of course, Epic.
It was great to catch up with the Ventucky crew, we are already looking forward to 2016.
You just never know, maybe you really can throw all the sand back into the ocean...
I think this was the first morning we were there. Kids were ready to roll out to the beach at 7:15am.
We found a small, calm beach at the harbor and the kids just lived it up.
Fun zip line at pirate ship park, how fun is that??
Eleanor wasn't interested in the seaweed until it was billed as a necklace
This was one of our last days there, you would think it was one of the first
