I didn't think it would be possible but somehow Claire just keeps getting cuter. Her major advancement over the past month has been her ability to grab things with her hands intentionally. No only will she grab, but she will NOT let go! I have to try and remember this now because she will latch her chubby little hands on to my hair or earrings in a hot second if I am not paying attention.
We are REALLY working on sleep right now. Miss Claire is waking up at 45 minutes into just about every nap, the dreaded 45 minute intruder. We knew it was coming. We can get her back to sleep but it takes some work We are also still trying to get her to sleep longer stretches at night. She will go from 11:00-3:00 pretty consistently. Pays will get up then and try and get her back to sleep without feeding. He is usually successful and she will sleep for another hour. Today is day #2 that she is out of the swaddle and overall it is going well. She is starting to rub one of her lovies onto her face. We are hoping this is a step in the right direction to self-soothing.
When we are getting her ready for sleep she loves to be walked around the house. Being in her room is torture. She will just scream if you try and wind her down there. 2-3 laps around downstairs is about what she needs and then back upstairs and she is good. It is like she wants to check in and see what she is potentially missing out on.
She loves to lie on her jungle mat for tummy time or to bat and kick at toys. She also likes to bat at toys in her infant chair but I think we are wrapping up her time in that. She much prefers to be places where she can kick and grab at toys.
The girl LOOOOVES the bath tub and will splash half of the tub water out by the end of a bath.
She is still a happy little clam in the Bjorn carrier and is mesmerized by sound and sight when she is outside.
Is there really anything sweeter than listening to a baby laugh?
Her new trick..
