New job!

It seems that Pays and I rarely do a post about our boring adult lives but we actually have something to blog about these days.

On April 1st we started a new job with a group called Avance Care. We are back doing primary care again, this time in Morrisville, NC. We are still job sharing and this time we are truly one full time physician between the two of us. We have a set schedule that repeats every 2 weeks and so far we are really happy. I am still working on becoming fluent with the EHR (I feel like a second grader in a college classroom!) but we both are very much enjoying the patients, the staff and our workflow.

The group is very innovative and we were impressed with their mission from the get go. The office is open Mon-Fri 7:30a-7:30p and on Sat and Sun from 10-4. Translation: they want to keep their patients out of urgent care and the ER. The offer a self pay program that is very reasonable and can help patients access care at an affordable rate.

We will miss the staff at Accent but we are ready to have continuity with patients again and truly work as a job sharing duo.
