Pays told me last night that this past weekend was one of the top three that we have had in Raleigh since we have lived here. When I asked him about the other two he couldn't really come up with other fun weekends...so we are going with this was BEST weekend ever!
My cousin Christin and her boyfriend Tim came to visit us from OH. Of course it was great fun to hang with them and soak up their youthfulness. Pays, our friend Bobby and our new friend Tim did a sprint triathlon at Harris Lake on Saturday. This was Bobby's second triathlon and Tim's first! They both did a great job and everyone finished. Pays actually finished 8th in his age group, great job!
I wanted to jot down some funny events from the weekend so they won't be forgotten...
They guys "carb loaded" on SUSHI the night before the race!
I opened my eyes on 6:20am on Saturday to little Noah Levy staring at me from the side of my bed. Sheesh! "Did you climb our of the Pack n' Play Noah?" "Yup, where's Samantha?" And the fun began...
Samantha loved her time playing with Noah and has repeatedly asked, "Where's my friend Noah?" ever since he left. :)
Tim got a 2 minute penalty for unknowingly drafting during the bike. His reply was, "I'm glad that happened. I won't do it again and it was god for me to learn." Words that can only be spoken by an Ohioan...
We had a great time playing around on Pays' new SUP and traded beers for rides on it at Falls Lake on Saturday.
Henry and Noah loved jumping off the SUP into a circular float. Henry said, "Circle" about 100 times.
Bruno tearing up part of my dad's screened in porch was not a highlight but I think needs to be included for history sake...darn you Bruno!
Tim and Christin put together this amazing video for us of pictures and video they took of the weekend. It is incredible! Thank you all for a great weekend!
