Henry at 15 months

Henry is in such a fun stage right now! Sally says I always say that but I really think it is super true this time. He is so active and fun to be around. We are definitely seeing more tantrums but for the most part he is a happy guy who loves to just be with us. He weighs 24 pounds which is 50th percentile and he is 31.5 inches long which is 75th percentile. He is a big kid. People we meet are beginning to ask if they are twins! These are some things I want to remember about Henry right now: We have re-entered a snuggle phase and I am loving EVERY minute of it! He is very content to be rocked to sleep with or without a bottle and will curl up in your arms when you sing to him and completely relax. I have no idea how long it will last but it is awesome. About the bottle...we have tried several times to wean him off but he just stops drinking milk altogether. After about 2 weeks of throwing sippy cups with milk and basically no milk intake we gave the bottle back to him because he was losing weight. He only wants it right before sleep and we have tried LOTS of different sippy cups. Any suggestions would be helpful... He is talking up a storm and is signing well. Henry loves "Mantha, Mantha" and calls for her when he wakes up. She loves to bring him his morning bottle which he still calls his "Mookies." He also loves our pets and will go on hunts for the cats during the day trying to figure out where they are sleeping. He calls them both, "Go-Go" for Pogo in a very serious, concerned voice. He also loves to pat the dogs and calls them both "Bru-Bru." When things aren't going his way he will often say, "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" It is hysterical. He does have a few 2 word phrases like, "'nother one" and "dat one." He eats well but he is still SO messy. It is not uncommon for his face, hair, hands and arms to be covered in food at the end of a meal. We keep asking each other when this is going to end... He is still napping twice a day but he will motor through missing his morning nap if we can't get him home for a nap. He will play until 1:00pm or so before he gets cranky. We are still cashing in on the twice daily naps for as long as we can. We need the down time as much as he does! He is so fast! He will be up a ladder, down the sidewalk or to the top of a slide before we can blink. We probably say, "Where is Henry?" about 100 times every day. Samantha has a cute way of telling on Henry by saying, "Mommy, what's Henry doing?" when he is obviously getting into trouble. He is running already! He is also doing great on our ride-on toys and can walk his feet to move them forward. He is never more than a few steps behind behind Samantha and his older cousins. He loves big kids! We love our sweet Henrys!

  1. Can't wait for time with sweet Henrys and Mantha, Mantha in just a short month!! Noah has some tricks to learn from Henrys for sure! Noah is going to love to "go, go" (Noah's ONLY word!) with his super active cousin! He too is only steps behind the big kids...might just be two peas in a pod when they are together!
