Henry's lovey

This is a much belated story but we don't want to forget it in years to come...

After Samantha's birthday party on November 27th we accidentally forgot Henry's puppy dog lovey at my parents' house. My mom called at about 7:00pm to let us know that she had found it. I told her that I thought he would be OK without it for a night as he has other ones in his crib. WRONG! The poor guy woke up every 20 minutes for 3 hours and had to be consoled each time to get back to sleep. At one point he was saying, "Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh" trying to tell me that something was not quite right. At 11:30pm I sheepishly called my mom to ask her if we could come by to get the lovey. Sweet Pays volunteered to go (a 25 minute drive each way) and I spent another 30 minutes getting Henry back to sleep. He wound up finally passing out without the lovey but was VERY excited to see it in the am when he woke up.

So I guess we have joined the ranks of parents who will do crazy things for their kiddos to keep them happy. We are keeping a close tab on his 'baby' these days.
