Our sweet Baby Claire made her way into the world last week on August 13th. She wound up being a scheduled induction at 41 weeks. The induction went altogether very well except for about an hour of strong, frequent contractions while we were waiting on the anesthesiologist for an epidural.
Claire Frances was born at 8:06pm and weighed 7#5oz and was 20 inches long. Claire means "light" and we chose Frances after several important Frances' in our lives: my grandmother, Payson's grandfather and Payson's godmother.
Samantha and Henry are ecstatic that she is finally here and have been very sweet and loving toward her. Samantha loves to hold her, feed her bottles and help with diaper changes.
It is great to have an infant in the house again. It has definitely changed the pace of the day but it has been nice to slow things down.
We are enjoying falling in love with our baby girl and our big kids all over again.
