We have yet to enjoy fireworks on July 4th as a family but we did have a great 4th of July weekend this year. We met up with Brian, Heather, Josie (3) and Ansel (8 months) at an almost halfway point in Asheville, NC, they drove from Nashville, TN. It was great to spend time together as old adult friends and new kiddo friends. Heather found a great cabin on the east side of Asheville with easy access to downtown, the zoo and a few parks. She and I enjoyed a half day at an amazing spa while the guys took all 4 kids to the zoo. Sweet!
It rained quite a bit while we were there but that didn't change our plans much other than canceling the fireworks. We all agreed it was actually very relaxing to listen to the rain on the trees that surrounded the cabin.
It was a fun and relaxing weekend for us. Thanks for making the trip Lehmanns! Hope we can make it work for next summer!
