For love of swinging

Both kids have loved to swing since they have been small. When we re-worked our backyard last month we decided to create a space to put in a big kid swing. Two Saturdays ago Dad helped (well, he constructed and I handed him tools and puttered) us build a beam to hang a swing from 2 of our trees in the backyard. An instant sensation! Samantha loves to go out by herself to play on the swing and she is really making strides in learning to get her own momentum going. I bet in a few weeks she won't need us to push her at all anymore, sniff. During a fun recent cousin visit Sarah helped to decorate the beam for us.



This video was taken this spring. Henry still loves the blue baby swing and he loves to swing so high that his feet touch the leaves. And yes, he does have the pink tu-tu on!
