Recent trip to Greenville, SC

We went to Greenville, SC 2 weeks ago to visit my cousin Karen, her husband Matt and their sweet little girl Charlotte who is just a bit over 2 years old. They rolled out the red carpet for us in terms of hospitality. The kids (and adults) had a great time. They treated us to amazing meals: lasagna with homemade pasta, homemade burgers with handmade cole slaw and made from scratch chicken marsala. In addition to cooking, they were great tour guides and took us to the Greenville Zoo, Karen's barn, the downtown river walk and Children's Garden.

The Greenville Zoo was perfect for the kids. Almost all of the exhibits had kids sized viewing stations where they could stand and look at the animals independently. So great for Henry who is in a big "Self" stage. The kids loved seeing the ba-bas at the barn and Samantha was brave to ride briefly with Karen on her sweet gentleman Harley. We then toured the river walk downtown which has an amazing water play area. Our kids were in heaven! On the way back to NC we stopped in and visited some residency friends: Robeson, Natalie and Benjamin Tinsley who also live in Greenville. It was great to catch up with them and share stories on adjusting to life in the south again after a few years in CA.

It was a great trip and we are so thankful for everyone's hospitality!
