The past 2 weeks with Henry

The past 2 weeks with Henry have flown by. We so enjoyed having Nonni and Grandpa Mikey here. They were little angels who helped so much with our cooking, cleaning, shopping and laundry. Not to mention the time spent with Samantha who soaked up all of the extra attention. We MISS you and can't wait to be back in NC!

Little Henry continues to be a sweet baby and brings us all such joy. Here are a few things we have learned over the past 2 (and a half) weeks..
-The boy can eat! He nurses 8-10 times a day and makes sweet little goat noises while he is eating.
-He loves to be swaddled and to sleep on his side, especially in our bed.
-He can sleep in his infant carrier while we are out with Samantha and can stay asleep even if the carrier isn't moving.
-He hardly cries but will let out a piercing shriek when he is unhappy that is akin to his cousin Tommy's pterodactyl cry. Pays thinks Henry sounds more like a velociraptor.
-He is a paci baby! We don't need one for every nap but there are several times during the day that he soothes really well with it. He likes his Nuk paci.
-He hates to be cold and screamed through diaper changes the first few days. We haven't bathed him yet (his cord is still on) but I have a hunch he may not be a fan.
-He has not spit up once! I dare not say anything more or that may change!
-He LOVES to snuggle and sleep on your chest and shoulder, especially after eating. He also loves to hold onto your fingers while he is nursing.

Samantha has continued to do really well as a Big Sister. He new favorite helping is to bring me diapers and wipes when he gets up from a nap. She watches the whole changing process very intently, almost as if she's making sure I'm doing a good job. She also loves to push him in his swing. We rarely used the buckles on the swing with her but we always do with Henry. Some of her pushes have some muscle to them!

Gammy is literally on her way to see us right now and we can't wait for her to meet Henry!
