Last week we were able to get away for a whole week to San Diego to attend an Integrative Medicine conference. Pays and I shared the lectures and the childcare and enjoyed our last getaway as a family of three. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed lots of outside time. We also took a family trip to Sea World. We were very excited to arrive in time to see the Shamu show and were able to get great seats. Unfortunately, Samantha was TERRIFIED of Shamu and screamed and sobbed each time he jumped so we had a to make a quick exit after about 3 jumps. Despite the whale terror, along with a bird pooping on my head in the first 20 minutes of being there, we had a great visit. Samantha loved the animals and kid watching. She probably had the most fun playing with her cousin's Christmas gifts and chattered and snuggled them the whole way home!
Ohhh, can't imagine Pays "letting" his little Manfers be afraid of the whales..
ReplyDeletelike he'd somehow pull a Popsy "training" session and try to talk her out of her fear through some sort of game or creative distraction technique... although she's way too young for that to work, of course!! Glad you all had a great time, however! Crazy that the bird poop hit your head- so sorry!!
