Samantha is 3 months today!

Wow! Time is flying! We can't believe our girl is 3 months old today. We know we are biased but she seems to get cuter and sweeter every day. Some things we want to remember about how she is right now...
-She loves to sit and stand (with assistance of course) and has very little patience for lying on her back or tummy these days. Except of course when she is in the bathroom looking at her red mobile (Will she ever grow tired of the bathroom mobile?? Hopefully NOT!!). She loves to practice her ski jump and push herself forward off of our legs. Winter Olympics 2030?
-She makes this super cute whimpering noise as she is falling asleep that sounds like hmmmm...hmmmm. When she has stopped making the noise we know that we can lie her down in her crib without her waking up. Then we do the...
-Drop and run. Once we put her in her crib we try to get out of her line of sight as quickly as possible. If she opens her eyes and sees us, game over. Start the bedtime routine again. She is actually learning how to soothe herself to sleep (or back to sleep) quite well if she does wake up.
- When we are out at friends' houses we frequently find ourselves swinging her to sleep in her carrier. And this can be an exhausting endeavor as she likes big swings and she is getting quite heavy!
-Her new favorite activity is sucking on her right hand. She just can't consistently get it into her mouth. Sometimes the harder she tries to move it to her mouth the farther away it goes. And then suddenly she surprises herself because without her knowing, the hand gets into
her mouth. And then the slobbering and drooling get out of control.
-Her smiling is getting so frequent and SO BIG! She loves to give these huge gummy smiles when we go in to get her up from a nap. We both look forward to them so much.
-After her overnight sleep or a long nap she will bury her head in our neck and snuggle us as if to say, "I missed you!" It is so sweet.
